Race Classes

PRO Production (PRO): 100% payback of entries to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Must be a production-based quad, and maintain stock bore and stroke, minimum age of 16 on the day of the event, PRO riders are not eligible to drop down and run in the PRO-AM (Amateur class). VET Pro has always been its own class and has guidelines just like the PRO class. VET Pro can run in the PRO class.

PRO AM Production (Amature): 50% payback of entries to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Must be a production-based quad, and maintain stock bore and stroke, minimum age of 16 on the day of the event. **Staff may modify age limit based on rider ability**

VET PRO Production (PRO) : 50% payback of entries to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Must be a production-based quad, and maintain stock bore and stroke, minimum age of 30 on the day of the event.

Pro / Pro-Am:

If you are not jumping everything on the track, this is not your class. Riders at this level put faith in the rider ahead of them jumping everything, if you cannot or do not do that you endanger yourself and your fellow riders.

Production A/B/C:

Must be a production-based quad, 450cc max, 250cc minimum, rider placement is skill based, must be at least 15 on the day of the event.

Open A:

Minimum 250cc, no maximum cc, rider placement is skill based. Open to all riders other then those in the youth classes.

Vet A/B

Must be at least the 30 years age for class on the date of the event, no cc restrictions.

Rider placement is skill based

A = Expert:  At this level you are a very capable racer, you have excellent ability to navigate the track and are jumping almost everything.

B = Amateur:  You have can navigate the track well and have the ability to jump most things.

C = Beginner:  You have can navigate the track and have the ability to jump some things.

PRO Class Changes as of (12/3/23 & 4/9/23):

The changes to the PRO Class rules is not being able to step down into a PRO - AM (Amateur class) and was for the following reasons.

- Allow the (Pro-Am amateur) class to be more competitive by not allowing season (PRO) riders ability to drop down and guarantee payouts and points.

- Allow (Production A) riders to move up and advance with other equal riders and skill of the same class and/or to see where their times & skill place with the PRO-AM (Amateur riders).

- Allow the Production A class to have the opportunity to run two classes to learn from and advance together in hopes of creating bigger PRO Classes.

- Allow Production B class riders to learn advance skills from Production A riders that run the PRO-AM (Amateur) class as well to teach them to have the confidence to move up.

- Allow Production C riders the option to move up into the next class and compete with equal and advancing skill riders.

The past PRO Class rules allowed for the PRO class riders to be able to drop down into a Amateur Class (Pro-Am) and compete for payouts, points and trophies with Pro-AM and Production A riders. Granted with the new rules the PRO Class only gets one race class until they reach 30 years of age at which time, they are able to run in VET PRO and the PRO Class which are both payout classes.

AMA ATV (Pro, Pro Sport) Rules: Ex of rules other series use

AMA ATV Stepping down rules

  1. Age: For Amateur classes, riders must be 16 years or older on the date of the event in order to compete on any size machine in any class (excepting the Women Class). For Youth classes, age is based on the rider’s age on January 1, 2023. However, riders, including youth, who change age during the year may stay in the class they started the year in, or may advance to the older division. Youth riders may advance to the next higher age class in the Youth Division prior to their age change, only if they will be eligible to do so at any time during the calendar year. However, once a rider moves to the next higher age class, they may not move back to the lower age class, per AMA rules. Points accumulated in one class do not advance with the rider to another class.
  2. Advancement: Amateur riders who participate in a higher classification (i.e., “A” or “B”) at any AMA or non-AMA local or national event will be considered as advanced to that higher classification and may not return to the lower class. Youth riders who compete in a higher age group may not return to their actual age group.
  3. Changing Classes: A rider may petition to move to a lower classification based on class finishes. However, in order to do so, the rider must first petition his/her AMA district and/or the AMA for reclassification and provide Event Organizer with a copy of the granted petition, prior to racing in the lower classification.
  4. Former Pro Licensed Riders: Riders who have ever been issued an AMA or FIM Pro Motocross license are not eligible for any “B”, “C”, or “Sportsman” class, i.e., College (16-24) or Vet 30+ class.

H. RACE PROCEDURES

  1. Pro, Pro Sport and WMX motos will be held Saturday; Pro-Am motos will be held Sunday. Site laps will be given for each Pro-Am moto. For all other classes, 1st moto/qualifiers will be held on Saturday and 2nd moto/LCQs on Sunday.

This is just to show part of our reasoning for removing old rules allowing Pro's to drop down into a lower Pro-Am class to compete 100% for rewards. Pro's are not allowed to run in any Pro-am/amature racing series unless they are trying to fill a class and or a personal owner rule.
